This event, which will be held from January 22 to 27, consists of Onnuri gift certificate refunds, payback benefits, and gift giving to visitors, and various support measures have been prepared to help residents ease the burden of holiday preparations.

Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Gil-seong Kim) will hold a consumption revitalization event centered on traditional markets and alley shopping streets in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday. This event was planned to help prepare the Lunar New Year table while also revitalizing the local economy.
The Shinjungang Market and Sinjungbu Market will hold a Lunar New Year Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries from January 23rd to 27th. During the event, you can receive a refund if you purchase domestic agricultural and livestock products at the Shinjungang Market and domestic marine products at the Sinjungbu Market. You can receive a 10,000 won Onnuri Gift Certificate refund for purchases over 34,000 won and a 20,000 won Onnuri Gift Certificate refund for purchases over 67,000 won, with a maximum of 20,000 won per person.
The Dongwha-dong alley shopping district will hold an Onnuri gift certificate payback event from January 22nd to 24th. During the event period, residents will be able to receive a 10,000 won refund when purchasing 40,000 won or more with an Onnuri gift certificate, providing practical benefits to residents.
Shinpyeonghwa Fashion Town has prepared a special event where visitors after 9 p.m. on January 23 will be given rice cakes. This event is expected to bring a warm holiday atmosphere to market visitors and add to the market’s liveliness during the Lunar New Year holiday.
Kim Gil-seong, the head of Jung-gu District Office, said, “This will be an opportunity to purchase high-quality agricultural and marine products at low prices at traditional markets,” and added, “I hope that the burden of holiday preparations for residents will be alleviated through the Onnuri gift certificate refund and various events.” He added, “We will pay close attention and spare no support so that both Jung-gu residents and market merchants can have a warm Seollal holiday.”
