Incheon Dong-gu announced that it has successfully completed the ‘2024 Creative School Creation Project’. This project was carried out in cooperation with Inha University’s Cultural Arts Education Center to support cultural arts education for children and youth.
Dong-gu planned a customized program for each school based on a preliminary demand survey, and operated the program by providing professional instructors to 10 elementary and middle schools in the district from March to December last year.
The major cultural arts education programs in 2024 consist of 12 categories: ▲music ▲theater ▲UCC production ▲handbell ▲traditional Korean music ▲comics ▲violin ▲dance ▲building a world with points, lines, and planes ▲photography ▲broadcast dance ▲acoustic guitar, contributing to the cultivation of students’ creativity and character.

One of the homeroom teachers who participated in the program said, “The students participated actively with interest,” and “I am grateful to Dong-gu and Inha University for creating an environment for cultural arts education with professional instructors.”
Kim Chan-jin, the mayor of Dong-gu, said, “We will continue to support students to develop their artistic abilities and enhance their self-expression skills through integrated arts education and cultural experience support.”
