Sejong City Transportation Corporation (CEO Do Soon-goo) is strengthening communication with residents by operating the ‘Compensation Plan Review Service’ as an innovative approach to quickly and fairly promote compensation work for the Sejong Smart National Industrial Complex.
This service was carried out during the ‘Compensation Plan Review’ period that began on December 30th of last year, and the review location was moved to a place closer to residents, such as a community center, to accommodate the elderly and people with reduced mobility living in the business district.

Ensuring accessibility for residents through on-site service
This service was divided into Budong-ri and Wachaon-ri. Budong-ri provided a reading service at Sansugol Senior Center on January 8, and Wachaon-ri provided a reading service at Wachaon 1-ri Senior Center on January 15. About 50 residents visited over the two days, receiving consultations on compensation and answering their questions, which received a great response. Residents gave positive reviews, saying that it was convenient because they could check if any items eligible for compensation were missing and hear detailed explanations about the compensation process.
A construction official said, “We are building trust by approaching residents in a more friendly manner through the on-site inspection service,” and “We have secured the driving force to smoothly carry out compensation work.”
Public enterprise pledges to play a role in revitalizing industrial complexes
Regarding this service, Sejong City Transportation Corporation President Do Soon-gu said, “We will secure the speed and fairness of the compensation process through active communication with residents, and based on this, we will contribute to the early activation of the industrial complex and the local economy.” He also expressed his intention to seek various measures in the future to minimize the suffering of residents who lose their homes due to public projects.
Compensation procedures to be fully implemented in May
The Sejong Smart National Industrial Complex compensation plan review period ends on January 17, and after going through procedures such as the formation of a compensation council and appraisal, full-scale compensation is expected to begin as early as May.
This case is evaluated as a successful example that went beyond simple compensation work to build trust with residents and create opportunities for cooperation.
