[Senior Happiness Development Center] Recruiting participants for the 2025 ‘Everyday Life as Art’ program

Yeongdeungpo-gu Senior Happiness Development Center is recruiting participants for the 2025 ‘Everyday Art’ program. This program provides opportunities for residents who want to enrich their daily lives through art, and anyone over the age of 40 who lives in Yeongdeungpo-gu can participate. Residents of other districts can also apply if they have children, family, or a business connection.

The recruitment period is from 1:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025 to 5:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025. If the quota is not met, additional recruitment will be conducted. If the quota is exceeded, participants will be selected through a public lottery.

Applications are accepted online via Google Forms, and applications cannot be accepted via landline or KakaoTalk. If you have difficulty applying online, you can visit the center in person to receive assistance. The drawing will be held on Monday, January 20th at 11:00 AM via a live broadcast on YouTube’s ‘Youngsam TV’, and the application results will be individually notified via text message after 3:00 PM on the same day.

This program will be held from February to July 2024, with a total of 20 sessions, and includes the following 7 subjects. The first is ‘Travel Drawing’, which is held every Monday from 10:00 to 12:00, and the tuition is 60,000 won, and the material fee is 30,000 won. The second subject is ‘Using Caricature’, which is held every Monday from 13:30 to 15:30, and the tuition is 60,000 won, and the material fee is 30,000 won.

The third subject is ‘Water Pen Calligraphy’, which is held every Tuesday from 10:00 to 12:00, and the tuition is 60,000 won, and the material fee is 45,000 won. The fourth subject is ‘Oil Pastel Painting’, which is held every Tuesday from 13:30 to 15:30, and the tuition is 60,000 won, and the material fee is 45,000 won.

The fifth subject is ‘Watercolor Calligraphy’, which is held every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00, and the tuition is 60,000 won, and the material fee is 20,000 won (textbook fee 8,000 won). The sixth subject is ‘Pop-up Book Illustration’, which is held every Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00, and the tuition is 60,000 won, and the material fee is 30,000 won (textbook fee 10,000 won). The last subject is ‘Acrylic Painting’, which is held every Thursday from 13:30 to 15:30, and the tuition is 60,000 won, and the material fee is 35,000 won.

When applying, you should carefully check the required and optional material costs, and you can only pay the required material costs, excluding materials you own.
