Goyang City Hyangdong Integrated Social Welfare Center (Director Yang Bok-seon) announced on the 16th that it received about 3 million won in donations through the ‘Angels’ Love Piggy Bank Sharing Project’ in which children from Goyang City Daycare Center participated.

This project was carried out for one month from December last year to provide side dishes to residents of low-income areas, and a total of 12 kindergartens participated, including Goyang City Neulpum Kindergarten, Goyang City Dawon Kindergarten, Goyang City Deok Eun Haneul Kindergarten, Goyang City Lala Kindergarten, Goyang City Lime Kindergarten, Goyang City Supnae Kindergarten, Goyang City Cheong-a Kindergarten, Goyang City Hangang Noeul Kindergarten, Goyang City Hangang Forest Kindergarten, Goyang City Hangang Haetsal Kindergarten, Goyang City Fragrant Kindergarten, and Goyang City Hwajeon Kindergarten.

A total of 391 children from daycare centers participated in this sharing activity, and the donations that the children saved in piggy banks at home will be used as a side dish support project to help families at risk of hunger in the local area.

Yangbok-seon, the director of Goyang City Hyangdong Community Welfare Center, said, “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the directors and children of the 12 kindergartens who shared their warm hearts with neighbors in need of side dish support. The precious donations raised by the children at home will be used meaningfully to help local residents.”

Meanwhile, this ‘Angels’ Love Piggy Bank Sharing Project’ is very meaningful in that it spreads the culture of sharing in the local community and provides children with an opportunity to learn the value of donation and service from a young age.

Going forward, Goyang City Hyangdong Integrated Social Welfare Center plans to provide practical assistance to local residents through various community cooperation activities and take the lead in spreading a culture of sharing.
