It plans to significantly strengthen the installation standards for prevention facilities and comprehensively review the discharge amount and facility performance of the business site to create a pleasant and sustainable environment.

Incheon Seo-gu (District Mayor Kang Beom-seok) announced that starting this year, it will fully implement a preventive system that will thoroughly review the installation of emission facilities that generate specific hazardous substances in advance and significantly strengthen the installation of prevention facilities to reduce pollutants.
This strengthening of the preemptive prevention system focuses on minimizing emissions from the initial stage of pollutant generation by comprehensively considering the amount of pollutant emissions, emission concentration, scale of emission facilities, performance of prevention facilities, and industry.
The West will review ways to reduce possible pollutants from the initial stage of installation of environmental pollutant emission facilities and strengthen the efficiency and suitability of prevention facilities. Through this, the structure of emission facilities, characteristics of raw materials and fuels, and usage amount will be thoroughly analyzed, and measures to effectively reduce pollutants from the generation stage will be introduced.
In particular, we plan to reduce pollutant emissions by optimizing process efficiency and recycling resources, and, if necessary, raise the standards for installing prevention facilities to minimize final emissions.
A Western official said, “We will enhance the preemptive prevention system by thoroughly managing specific hazardous substance discharge facilities and strengthening prevention facilities,” and “We will do our best to provide a pleasant and sustainable environment for residents.”
This measure is a preemptive response to protect residents’ health and minimize environmental pollution, and aims to create a sustainable environment together with the local community.
