Yongin Special City Mayor Lee Sang-il Encourages Companies Showcasing Innovative Technologies and Export Interns at CES 2025

Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin Special City attended the world’s largest home appliance and IT exhibition ‘CES 2025′ held in Las Vegas, USA on the 8th (local time), and visited the Yongin Special City Hall and local companies’ booths to encourage officials and export interns who presented innovative technologies. The mayor said, “I hope that the technologies presented at this CES will receive attention in the global market.”

On the 8th (local time), Yongin Special City Mayor Lee Sang-il met with business officials who participated in the Yongin Special City Pavilion and college student export interns supported by the city at the ‘CES 2025’ site and encouraged them. Yongin Special City operated a booth at this exhibition to promote Korea’s cutting-edge technology to the world and supported the overseas expansion and promotion of local companies.

Five companies participated in the Yongin Special Exhibition Hall, showcasing cutting-edge technologies: ▲CP6X (driver personal information protection solution), ▲Digital Log Technologies (AI-based marketing calendar), ▲Global Hi-Tech Electronics (cold/hot mat and lunch box), ▲Noeul (blood/tissue cell diagnostic device), and ▲Wismedical (bio-information monitoring device). In addition, four export interns from Dankook University’s GTEP were dispatched and played a major role in successfully carrying out the company’s product marketing and buyer responses.

The mayor said, “CES 2025 is a great opportunity to introduce Yongin’s excellent technological prowess to the world and raise the status of local companies,” and added, “I hope that the participating companies will achieve good results and that the experiences of the export interns will be a great asset in achieving their future dreams.”

In addition, the market visited the booths of ▲SoluM (ESL and power modules for electric vehicle chargers) and ▲Microsystem (self-cleaning video surveillance cameras), which are representative companies in Yongin, and exchanged opinions on technological innovation with the relevant parties. SoluM attracted much attention by introducing electronic shelf labels (ESL) and power modules for eco-friendly electric vehicle chargers, while Microsystem boasted its technology that won the CES Innovation Awards for five consecutive years, including the CES Best Innovation Award last year.

The mayor emphasized, “Yongin’s innovative companies are recognized in the global market and are leading global technology trends,” and “We will continue to provide active city-level support for the growth of local companies.”

At ‘CES 2025’, leading Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and SK Group participated and showcased cutting-edge technologies, and the mayor visited their exhibition halls to exchange opinions on the current status and future of Korean technology.

Meanwhile, at CES 2025, Victor Hoskins, the director of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, toured the Yongin Special City Hall and expressed his gratitude for the technological prowess of Korean companies and the support of Mayor Lee Sang-il. He said, “I look forward to economic cooperation and mutual prosperity between the two cities through the signing of the friendly exchange agreement between Yongin and Fairfax County.”
