Giheung-gu, Yongin Special City announced on the 13th that Oh Seon-hee, the 21st Giheung-gu Mayor, took office and began her official duties. On her first day in office, Mayor Oh visited the Singal-dong Road Management Center and the Mabuk-dong Underpass Management Center to inspect current issues and promised an on-site-centered administration that prioritizes the safety and convenience of residents.

Oh Seon-hee, the 21st mayor of Giheung-gu, officially took office on the 13th and began her full-fledged work. Immediately after taking office, Mayor Oh visited the Singal-dong Road Management Center to inspect snow removal measures and safety accident response systems in preparation for winter snowfall. She then visited the Tunnel and Underpass Management Center in Mabuk-dong to check the status of facility management and carefully take care of current issues.
Instead of holding an inauguration ceremony, Mayor Oh visited 13 departments under the district office to greet and encourage employees. He emphasized, “I will put the safety and convenience of residents first, and listen to complaints and inconveniences directly on site,” and “I will carry out meticulous administration so that residents can feel the change.”

Mayor Oh Seon-hee, who began her public service career in Giheung-eup in 1989, has gained diverse administrative experience as the head of Seonong-dong and Seongbok-dong, and after serving as the head of the Employment Policy Division, the Culture and Arts Division, and the Budget Division, she was promoted to secretary in 2022. Afterwards, she served as the head of the Blue Park Business Office and the head of the Welfare and Women’s Bureau, and was recognized for her administrative skills and leadership.
Based on his 33 years of rich public service experience, Mayor Oh expressed his strong will to run the district, saying, “I will provide meticulous consideration and field-oriented administration so that the residents can live happy lives.”
Going forward, Giheung-gu plans to continue practical administration centered on strengthening winter safety measures and resolving residents’ inconveniences under the guidance of Mayor Oh.
