Asan City Health Center has been honored with being selected as an excellent institution in a total of 15 fields by major organizations including the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, and South Chungcheong Province for its outstanding achievements in the health and medical field in 2024. This is the result of recognition of continuous efforts to promote community health and improve the quality of life of citizens, and consists of 7 awards from the Minister of Health and Welfare, 3 awards from the Director of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, 3 awards from the Governor of South Chungcheong Province, and 2 other awards.

Asan City Health Center’s major awards are as follows:

• Minister of Health and Welfare Award :
  The 8th regional health care plan implementation excellent local government, mental health promotion project, early life health management project, etc.
• Award from the Director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention :
  Response to bioterrorism, prevention of tick-borne infectious diseases, etc.
• Chungcheongnam-do Governor’s Award :
  Strengthening emergency medical care, medical support for vulnerable groups, disaster and pharmaceutical sectors

Asan City Health Center has been recognized by various organizations for its leading role in various health and medical fields, including mental health, infectious disease prevention, strengthening the emergency medical system, and supporting vulnerable groups.

Innovative businesses that are getting attention

In particular, the **’National Mental Investment Support Project’**, which won the Minister of Health and Welfare Award, is an innovative program that provides vouchers for professional psychological counseling services to promote the mental health of citizens. This project, which will be implemented from July 2024, can be easily applied for at the administrative welfare center of the town, township, and district, and boasts high accessibility and effectiveness as psychological counseling services can be received through professional institutions.

In addition, the **’Early Life Health Management Project’** provides customized health management services through home visits by nurses and social workers for pregnant women and infants and toddlers under the age of 2. This project is receiving a great response from citizens as it provides practical support such as parenting education and family counseling, providing great help to both parents and children.
