Ongjin County Human Resources Development Foundation (Chairman Moon Kyung-bok) announced on the 17th that it is recruiting students for the Ongjin Scholarship Hall in 2025.
This recruitment will be for a total of 73 people, with 42 people to be selected from the Ongjin Scholarship Center (located in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul) and 31 people to be selected from the 2nd Ongjin Scholarship Center (located in Jung-gu, Incheon). The application period is from January 16 to February 5, and applications can be submitted in person at the Ongjin County Office Welfare Policy Division or each township office, or by email.
Applicants must be new or current students at a university or graduate school located in the metropolitan area, and must be 34 years of age or younger. In addition, as of the date of the announcement, the applicant or his/her parent (guardian) must have been registered as a resident of Ongjin-gun for at least 3 consecutive years, and in the case of the 2nd Ongjin Scholarship Hall, middle and high school students can also apply.
Ongjin Scholarship Hall is a dormitory established for the purpose of supporting the studies of Ongjin County students. It is located near a subway station and boasts excellent transportation accessibility. The usage fee is set at 200,000 won per month for Ongjin Scholarship Hall, 150,000 won per month for a single room, and 250,000 won per month for a double room for the 2nd Ongjin Scholarship Hall, thus easing the financial burden on students.
