Yongin Special City is recruiting 40 youth interns to strengthen the job competency of young people through public sector work experience and to support job search activities. The recruitment target is unemployed young people aged 18 to 39 who live in Yongin City. Applications can be made online from the 20th to the 24th.

If you are selected as a youth intern, you will perform various administrative, health, and welfare support tasks at city hall, city-affiliated organizations, and cooperative organizations. The work hours are 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, and the hourly wage of 11,670 won, which is the minimum wage for Yongin City in 2025, will be applied.

Young interns are provided with opportunities to experience public sector work and develop their job competencies, and are also supported with employment-related lectures and job-related education programs. In addition, a flexible work environment has been created in which up to 64 hours (8 days) of work time is recognized when taking employment-related exams or participating in job fairs, so that they can pursue job search activities during their internship period.

Applications are made online through the integrated application system of Gyeonggi Job Foundation, ‘Jobaba Apply (https://apply.jobaba.net)’, and the final successful candidates are selected through document and interview screening. The successful candidates will be announced on the Yongin City Hall website on the 19th of next month, and individual phone contact will also be made.

City officials stated, “The public sector youth internship program will provide young people with practical work experience and will be of great help in preparing for employment,” and added, “We will continue to provide various types of support so that young people can find jobs that fit their aptitude and career path.”
