Sokcho City will begin operating ‘Sokcho, Sea of Light’, the first and largest media art in the country utilizing the sandy beach of Sokcho Beach, at the south gate of Sokcho Beach, starting on the 10th (Friday).

Sea of Light, Sokcho is a large-scale media art piece measuring 70m wide and 15m high. Rather than simply shining lights, it is composed of a production that includes videos and music that fit the theme, allowing the eyes and ears to experience a synesthetic experience that is pleasing to the eyes and ears.
It is composed of a total of 30 minutes, and the first part expressed Sokcho, a natural landscape where the sea and mountains meet, with light, and the second part implemented various media art on the sandy beach with themes such as the seaside road, garden of light, and color wave.

A demonstration was held for visitors who came to see the sunrise on the 1st, and the audience’s enthusiastic response was confirmed. The city expects that the site, embroidered with light and sound, will become a landmark and representative photo zone for Sokcho’s unique nighttime tourism.

During the operation hours, the operation will be held for 30 minutes every hour, so there will be only two dense operations for a total of two hours.
