Starting this year, K-Pass will introduce a new category for households with multiple children, expand the participation of local governments and card companies, and provide benefits to more users.
Special rebate rate for families with multiple children
Starting in 2025, K-Pass will apply a separate refund rate to households with multiple children. For households with two children, the refund rate will be 30%, and for households with three or more children, the refund rate will be 50%, which is 10%p and 30%p higher than the general rate, respectively.
For example, if a user with three or more children rides public transportation 60 times a month for 1,500 won, they can receive an additional refund of 27,000 won due to the introduction of the multiple-child category.
Multi-child household type verification is possible through real-time verification via the K-Pass app or Nurizip. If verification is difficult, you can register supporting documents such as a family relationship certificate. The refund rate is applied from the time of verification completion.
Significant expansion of participation by local governments and card companies
The number of participating local governments for K-Pass has increased from 189 to 210. 21 local governments, including Gimje, Mungyeong, and Sokcho, have newly joined, and following K-Pass-Gyeonggi (The Gyeonggi Pass) and K-Pass-Incheon (Incheon I-Pass), Gwangju Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangnam-do will also implement local government-tailored K-Passes starting in January to provide regionally specialized benefits.
Additionally, the number of participating card companies has increased from 11 to 13, and the number of card types available has increased from 27 to 32, further expanding the range of choices for users.
