Incheon Seo-gu (District Mayor Kang Beom-seok) announced that it distributed ‘Ondam Package’, a set of winter supplies for vulnerable groups in the region to prepare for the winter cold. The Ondam Package is a set of items prepared by the National Disaster Relief Association Hope Bridge, and was delivered by the Seo-gu Health Center to 100 vulnerable households in the region.

The Ondam package consists of winter quilts, pads, mugs, gloves, sleeping socks, hot packs, and other winter cold-weather items and daily necessities. It was created to provide practical assistance to vulnerable groups such as the elderly living alone, chronically ill patients, and the disabled, and to help them have a warm winter.

The Seogu Health Center has been delivering warm-warming packages through home visits by visiting nurses since the end of December, and has been providing health consultations and tips for a safe winter, such as winter health management methods. Jeon ○○ (82 years old), a senior citizen living alone who received the warm-warming package, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I was worried about the cold winter, but receiving these warm items was a great comfort.”

In addition, the Seogu Health Center is additionally distributing 3,200 pairs of socks and 3,300 sets of neck warmers to vulnerable groups. This is provided not only to those who are eligible for home health care, but also to seniors at local senior centers, and through one-on-one visits, they are providing meticulous health care along with the supplies.

Jang Jun-young, the director of the Seo-gu Health Center, said, “The cold winter can be particularly painful for vulnerable groups,” and added, “We will continue various support projects to ensure that vulnerable groups, such as the elderly living alone, people with chronic diseases, and the disabled, can have a warm and safe winter.”
