Alberto Mondi, an Italian broadcaster and businessman, was invited to give a lecture on the topic of “communication skills that help each other grow.”

Alberto Mondi, with his extensive experience in broadcasting and business, delivered the core principles of effective public communication in a fun and practical way. He explained that effective communication with the public is possible through empathy based on sincerity, clear message delivery, and the process of building trust. In particular, he presented specific cases of successful and failed domestic and international communication, and analyzed the causes of each case to increase the participants’ understanding.

He also emphasized that communication is a process of understanding and harmonizing different perspectives, and through this, it creates an opportunity for mutual growth. Alberto Mondi said, “Communication is a door that opens to those who put in the effort,” and added that it is important to turn differences in the communication process into positive factors. His cheerful speaking style and deep understanding of Korean culture drew great sympathy and response from the participants.

Meanwhile, Jung-gu is recruiting and operating 50 influencers as a new promotional channel to strengthen communication with residents. They are actively communicating with residents through SNS channels in various fields such as tourism, festivals, restaurants, health, and childcare in Jung-gu. Jung-gu plans to increase interest among young and middle-aged people by taking advantage of the region’s high proportion of people in their 30s and carry out various district promotion activities until 2025.

Kim Gil-seong, the mayor of Jung-gu, said, “No matter how good a policy is, if residents are not aware of it, it cannot be considered a successful policy.” He added, “Good policies and effective promotion must go hand in hand. I hope that we can actively communicate with residents and create policies in which residents can participate.”

Through this training, Jung-gu is expected to strengthen its policy promotion and communication capabilities and take a step further in implementing policies based on trust with residents.
