Hanam City (Mayor Lee Hyeon-jae) successfully concluded the ‘Package Parent Education Season 2’, which was carried out as part of the 8th local government election pledge to ‘strengthen psychological counseling programs’, with the support and response of citizens.

The ‘Package Parent Education’, now in its second year, is a program hosted by the Hanam Youth Counseling Welfare Center and held at the Hanam Youth Counseling Welfare Center, Wiryeseong Administrative Welfare Center (second half), and Gami Public Complex Building (second half) to educate parents on how to effectively communicate with adolescents.
This year, a total of 30 educational sessions were held on the following topics: ▲Permanent (Understanding Adolescent Developmental Characteristics and Effective Communication Methods), ▲Theme (How to communicate with teenagers going through ‘puberty these days’, Mother’s Psychology Class given by a psychiatrist, etc.) ▲Special Lectures (What should I do with my child who has gotten used to the taste of tang-hulu and short-form snacks, Self-directed learning methods for teenagers taught by a psychologist, etc.).
One citizen who participated in the package parent education said, “It was a great help to learn how to approach the problems my child is experiencing as a parent.” Another citizen who participated said, “It was good to be able to think deeply about parenting by taking the education regularly.”
Mayor Lee Hyeon-jae of Hanam City said, “Thanks to actively reflecting the educational content desired by parents, we were able to successfully complete this year’s package parent education program amid great interest and response.” He emphasized, “Our city will continue to do its best to ensure that both parents and children can grow up healthy and happy with Hanam City’s specialized package parent education.”
