The Ilsanseo-gu Health Center in Goyang Special City conducted oral disease prevention and oral health management training for employees of Hyundai Department Store KINTEX Branch for three days from December 9. This training was prepared at the request of the department store, and was conducted as an experiential program to inform them of proper oral care methods and the importance of oral health.

Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) Ilsanseo-gu Health Center announced that it conducted oral health management and health education for employees in the seminar room on the 3rd basement floor of Hyundai Department Store KINTEX Branch for three days from December 9. This education was a program designed to promote the health of department store employees, and was conducted with the aim of preventing oral diseases and forming healthy oral care habits.
The educational program covered ▲correct oral care methods ▲how to use oral care products ▲the relationship between cardiovascular disease and oral health ▲checking oral plaque using Q-scan, etc., providing information that employees can use practically. In addition, oral care products such as toothbrushes and dental floss were distributed to participants and their practice was encouraged.
In particular, the training was conducted during lunch hours to accommodate the convenience of the employees. This allowed the employees to participate without any burden, and the oral health quiz and experiential education were combined to increase both fun and learning effectiveness.
A health center official said, “Oral health is an important factor closely related to overall health,” and added, “We hope that this training will be an opportunity for employees to recognize the importance of oral health and form proper management habits.”
A department store employee who participated in the training said, “I learned anew about the need for oral health management, and the experience of checking for plaque was particularly interesting,” and “I plan to practice what I learned in the training in the future to maintain a healthy oral health.”
This program was planned at the request of Hyundai Department Store, and Ilsanseo-gu Health Center plans to continue to expand oral health education in the future through cooperation with various organizations in the region.
