**Anseong City (Mayor Kim Bo-ra)** announced comprehensive measures for recovery from large-scale heavy snow damage and stabilization of people’s livelihoods through an emergency press briefing on the 23rd. This briefing covered in detail the status of damage support, plans to secure additional budget, and future response measures such as issuing local bonds.
Mayor Kim Bo-ra said, “Due to the heavy snow last month, 6,972 locations, including agricultural and livestock industries in the district, suffered damages amounting to 177.4 billion won,” and added, “We are focusing our administrative power on disaster recovery and stabilizing people’s livelihoods as top priorities.”

As Anseong City has been declared a special disaster area, it plans to secure disaster relief funds worth 33.7 billion won, including national, provincial, and municipal funds, and execute them quickly. It will prepare specific support measures targeting small business owners, agricultural and livestock workers, and forestry workers, and begin full-scale recovery efforts.

In addition, in order to strengthen livelihood stability measures, we plan to issue local bonds worth 10 billion won and embark on practical livelihood stability projects such as expanding special guarantees for small business owners, expanding local currency incentives, and supporting vulnerable groups during the winter season.

Mayor Kim Bo-ra said, “We are doing our best to simultaneously solve the two tasks of disaster recovery and stabilizing people’s livelihoods,” and “We will mobilize all administrative power to do our best until the end so that citizens’ daily lives can return to normal as soon as possible.”
Through this measure, Anseong City plans to provide practical support to citizens suffering from heavy snow damage and continue its efforts to kill two birds with one stone: revitalizing the local economy and stabilizing people’s livelihoods.
