Yongin Special City 'Love Train Relay', Warm Hands of Sharing Continue at the End of the Year

The warm hands of citizens, companies, and organizations are continuing to share in the ‘Love Train Relay’, a year-end and New Year’s Eve neighborhood helping movement of Yongin Special City. Donations and sharing are actively taking place throughout Cheoin-gu, Giheung-gu, and Suji-gu, and the sight of a living community being created together is moving.

In the fourth week of December, citizens and organizations are actively sharing in the ‘Love Train Relay’ campaign being held in Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il). Warm hearts are being conveyed everywhere to help local residents and neighbors in need.

In Cheoin-gu, Idong-eup, Korea Food Co., Ltd. (CEO Baek Hyeon) and Idong-eup Sports Association jointly donated 1,000 kg of Korean beef bones worth 10 million won. Following its sharing efforts in October, Korea Food Co., Ltd. has extended a helping hand to the local community this time as well.

In Mohyeon-eup, the Daham Church (Senior Pastor Kwon In) donated 3.3 million won and 11 boxes of daily necessities, the Yongseong Mining Mountaineering Club (Chairman Lim Woo-hyeon) donated 100 boxes of ramen, and Mohyeon-eup resident Lee Wang-seung donated 40 10kg bags of white rice. In addition, several organizations, including the Cheoin-gu Office Daycare Center, the Yongin Cultural Foundation Art Runner, and the Idong-eup Saemaeul Women’s Association, participated in the donation.

In Giheung-gu, Dongbaek Orthopedic Clinic donated 10 million won to express gratitude to the local community. Seocheon 365 Pharmacy (CEO Kwon Ha-rim) also donated 3.65 million won, and Dongbaek Happy Kindergarten practiced sharing in various ways, such as donating 634 packages of ramen.

Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin Special City said, “The hearts of those who share in order to convey hope and warmth to their struggling neighbors are touching all of our citizens,” and added, “We will continue to support and cooperate to create a community where we can all live together.”

The sharing campaign is being continuously carried out throughout Yongin Special City during the year-end and New Year holidays, and with the participation of citizens and businesses, Yongin City is establishing itself as a city of sharing and consideration.
