At approximately 9:07 AM on the 29th, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, deviated from the runway during landing at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do and collided with the outer wall of a fence. The accident caused a fire on the aircraft and many casualties were reported.

The plane was carrying 175 passengers and 6 crew members, a total of 181 people, and most of the passengers are presumed dead except for the two who have been rescued. The fire department is currently conducting rescue operations at the tail section of the plane, and additional rescue and search operations are continuing. It was reported that the accident passenger plane was unable to slow down while attempting a landing due to a malfunction in the landing gear, and crashed into the outer wall, damaging it.
The accident is believed to have been caused by a bird strike, or bird strike, during landing, which prevented the landing gear from functioning properly. Some of the passengers have lost contact with their families after telling them that there was a problem with the aircraft, and heartbreaking news continues to emerge from the scene.
Black smoke is rising from the accident site and rescue operations are underway urgently. Our deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families.
