Yongin Special City’s Cherin-gu announced on the 29th that it is quickly processing reconstruction permits and extension reports for temporary structures in order to quickly support the restoration of buildings damaged by the heavy snowfall on November 27th and 28th.

The city has formed a T/F team dedicated to building permits, building guidance, and demolition work, and is making every effort to restore damaged buildings. Due to recent heavy snow damage, building reconstruction permits (reports) were processed in two days, and temporary building extension applications were processed on the same day. This is being evaluated as the city’s effort to simplify construction administrative procedures to speed up restoration and minimize inconvenience to citizens.

As inquiries about collapsed buildings and temporary structures due to heavy snowfall increase, the T/F team is responding to citizens’ requests for restoration support by quickly processing procedures and reports.

A district official emphasized, “We have formed a T/F team to respond quickly so that citizens who suffered damage from the heavy snow can return to their daily lives as soon as possible,” and “If you rebuild a building without a rebuilding permit or report, you may face legal disadvantages, so please be sure to receive guidance on the relevant procedures from a local architect or the administrative welfare center of your town, township, or dong.”

Meanwhile, for detailed information on reconstruction and extension of temporary structures for buildings damaged by heavy snow, contact the relevant department of the district office (Reconstruction: 031-6193-5457, Temporary structures: 031-6193-5507).
