Yeonsu-gu, 500,000 won support for postpartum care expenses···Implementation in 2025

Yeonsu-gu ( Mayor Lee Jae- ho) will provide 500,000 won in postpartum care expenses to all families with newborns, regardless of income level, starting next year in order to ease the financial burden on families with newborns and support a stable life .

To this end, the district has completed preliminary preparations such as consultations with relevant organizations and enactment of related ordinances , and established a support system through a business agreement with Kona I last month, providing 500,000 won per mother in the form of local currency, Yeonsu e- um .

This support project is a major pledge of the 8th local government , and is expected to encourage childbirth and reduce the financial burden on families by creating a healthy recovery and stable child-rearing environment for mothers and newborns in Yeonsu-gu .

Eligible for support are families who gave birth after January 1 , 2025 , regardless of income level , and must report the birth in Yeonsu-gu and have been registered as a resident in Yeonsu-gu for three months prior to the date of birth .

However , if you receive support from a similar project, such as Incheon City’s support for postpartum care expenses for vulnerable groups, you cannot receive duplicate support .

You can apply for the birth certificate by visiting the local administrative welfare center within 60 days of birth , and after going through the verification process, 500,000 won will be paid in local currency ( Yeonsu e- um policy allowance ) within about 2 weeks .

The subsidy can only be used at Incheon e- food member stores related to postpartum care for mothers, such as postpartum care centers , hospitals , pharmacies , health functional foods , and yoga. For more information, please check the Yeonsu-gu Health Center website .
