Incheon Seo-gu Cultural Center received the Excellent Cultural Center Award for its contribution to the revitalization of local cultural centers at the ‘2024 Incheon Regional Cultural Center Joint Training and Specialization Project Report’ hosted by the Incheon Metropolitan City Cultural Center Association on the 12th, and was recognized for its achievements in regional cultural education and research activities.

Incheon Metropolitan City Seo-gu Cultural Center (Director Jeong Gun-seop) was selected as an Incheon Metropolitan City Superintendent of Education Excellent Cultural Center for its contribution to the revitalization of local cultural centers at the ‘2024 Incheon Regional Cultural Center Joint Training and Specialization Project Report Meeting’ held on the 12th.

The Western Cultural Center was highly praised for its contribution to the local community by producing regional studies educational materials and operating regional studies programs to increase interest in regional history and culture and provide learning opportunities for children and youth.

In particular, as part of the local cultural center specialization project, the Seo-gu Cultural Center has published systematic educational materials to help children and youth in Seo-gu, Incheon develop an interest in local history and culture, and has provided various educational programs utilizing these materials, contributing to the revitalization of local cultural education.

Seo Deok-hyeon, director of the Seogu Cultural Center, said, “We will continue to develop local cultural center policy projects such as historical and cultural education projects using localized educational materials and vivid national heritage,” adding, “We will continue to strive to become a cultural center that grows together with the local community.”

Meanwhile, regional studies and research materials published by the Western Cultural Center are distributed free of charge through the Western Cultural Center website (www.inscc.kr), so anyone can easily access them.

This award is the result of external recognition of the educational and research activities carried out by the Seogu Cultural Center as a local cultural center, and various cultural projects for the local community are expected in the future.
