Ulsan City announced that it will hold the ‘Ulsan City-Environmental Policy Related Organization Cooperation Meeting’ on December 17th at 10:30 AM in the 3rd floor conference room of the 1st Annex of City Hall with the goal of realizing Ulsan as a sustainable green environmental city . This meeting was prepared for the successful implementation of next year’s environmental policy, and aims to increase the effectiveness of environmental conservation and carbon neutrality policies by strengthening cooperation with related organizations.

About 10 people from related organizations related to environmental policy, including Ulsan City, the Sustainable Development Council, the Green Environment Support Center, the Biodiversity Center, the Wildlife Rescue Center, the Environmental Education Center, the Environmental Health Center, and the Carbon Neutral Support Center, will attend the meeting that day.
Ulsan City plans to share major environmental policy projects for next year and discuss cooperation plans between organizations through this meeting. Projects centered on citizen-participatory environmental policies include the practice movement of Ulsan as a green city and the carbon neutrality expansion project. Major tasks include challenge programs that encourage citizen participation, a nationwide carbon neutrality practice movement, and activities to improve awareness of climate change. In addition, the city plans to operate university student environmental education supporters to foster future generations of environmental leaders and strengthen ecosystem protection projects such as biodiversity conservation, wild animal rescue and treatment, and window collision reduction activities.
In addition, environmental technology support for small and medium-sized businesses and research projects to prevent environmental diseases are also being promoted. Through these projects, Ulsan City plans to establish a foundation for citizens to practice environmental conservation and carbon neutrality in their daily lives.
Ulsan City conducted a total of 54 programs, including climate change response education and ecological environment protection activities, 1,098 times this year, with approximately 38,340 citizens participating. Based on this achievement, Ulsan City plans to pursue a more systematic environmental policy in 2025 and realize a sustainable green environmental city together with its citizens.
An official from Ulsan City said, “Through this cooperation meeting, we will do our best to communicate with various organizations and realize sustainable environmental policies,” and “We will continue to provide active support so that all Ulsan citizens can participate in environmental conservation and carbon neutrality practices.”
