Uijeongbu City Ganeung-dong Community Center (Director Bae Eun-kyung) announced on December 30 that the Gongrip Bitnuri Daycare Center (Director Park Young-jin) donated 401,000 won to help neighbors in need.
Public Bitnuri Daycare Center is a facility that cares for infants and toddlers from dual-income families, and has been practicing sharing by participating in the ‘100-day Love Relay Baton Pass’ campaign every year. This donation was made with money that the children have carefully saved in 10 and 50 won coins each over the past six months.

Director Park Young-jin said, “We started a small fundraising to instill in children a love for their neighbors and a spirit of togetherness,” and added, “I hope that this donation will be an opportunity for children to learn the value of sharing, and I plan to continue to donate in the future to spread a culture of sharing in the local community.”
“It is truly touching to see the young sprouts practicing love for their neighbors,” said Bae Eun-kyung, the head of the village, expressing her gratitude, adding, “We will deliver the carefully prepared donations to our neighbors in need during the cold winter.”
Meanwhile, the ‘100-Day Love Relay Baton Passing’ will be held until January 28th, and sponsors who wish to donate can contact the Ganeung-dong Community Center (031-870-7074).
