Gwangjin-gu Out-of-School Youth Support Center was selected as an excellent organization among 220 centers nationwide at the ‘2024 Out-of-School Youth Support Project Report Conference’ hosted by the Korea Youth Counseling and Welfare Development Institute. This conference was designed to bring together out-of-school youth support center workers nationwide to share this year’s project performance and discuss next year’s project direction, and awards were also given to excellent organizations that contributed to the development of out-of-school youth support projects.

The Gwangjin-gu School-Outside Youth Support Center operates various support programs to help youth who have dropped out of school return to school or settle down in society. In particular, it has been highly evaluated for providing customized counseling support and job experience programs that take into account individual characteristics and situations, and for discovering many excellent cases through in-depth case management.
Gwangjin-gu District Mayor Kim Gyeong-ho said, “This selection as an excellent organization is thanks to the dedication of the staff at the Gwangjin-gu Out-of-School Youth Support Center, who work hard to help out-of-school youth prepare for a bright future.” He added, “Gwangjin-gu will continue to discover and implement various support measures in cooperation with the local community to ensure that out-of-school youth are not marginalized.”
Gwangjin-gu plans to build a more robust support network through cooperation with the local community to address the difficulties faced by out-of-school youth and prepare them for the future.
