Ticket reservations for the 2025 Lunar New Year train will begin on the 6th. In the case of priority reservations for the disabled and other transportation disadvantaged people, Korea Railroad Corporation (hereinafter referred to as KORAIL) will be available on the 6th and 7th, and SRT will be available on the 13th and 14th. Reservations are available for trains that run for 10 days from January 24th to February 2nd.

First, Korail will conduct separate reservations on the 6th and 7th to accommodate vulnerable groups such as senior citizens, the disabled, and national heroes (those who are eligible for transportation support), and on the 8th and 9th, it will be open to all citizens. Reservations for Lunar New Year tickets will be conducted non-face-to-face and can be made online (PC, mobile) through the ‘Holiday Ticket Exclusive Website (letskorail.com)’ and by phone (1544-8545).

○ Korail Reservation Schedule

Priority reservation for the transportation disadvantaged: 6th (Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, etc.) and 7th (Honam, Jeolla, etc.), from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Nationwide Reservation: 8th (Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, etc.) and 9th (Honam, Jeolla, etc.), 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM

On the 13th and 14th, SRT will operate priority reservations for senior citizens, disabled customers, and national merit customers through the online reservation website (etk.srail.kr) and by phone (1800-0242), and on the 15th (Wednesday) and 16th (Thursday), ticket reservations will be operated for all citizens.

○ SRT Reservation Schedule

Priority reservation for the transportation-disadvantaged: 13th-14th

Nationwide Reservation: 15th (Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, etc.) and 16th (Honam, Jeolla, etc.)

All reservations are non-face-to-face, and Korail can make reservations through its holiday ticket website and by phone (1544-8545), while SRT can make reservations through its website and by phone (1800-0242).

In addition, for the convenience of reservation for the transportation disadvantaged, Korail has extended the online access time, and the visually and physically impaired can access it for up to 30 minutes. Tickets reserved must be paid by midnight on the 15th for Korail and midnight on the 19th for SRT, and will be automatically cancelled if not paid.

After the reservation period, remaining seats can be purchased as general tickets through the website, app, or station window for Korail from 3 PM on the 9th and for SRT from 3 PM on the 16th.

Korail will post a video explaining the detailed reservation method on its official YouTube channel and website, and will operate a dedicated website where reservations can be experienced starting on the 3rd. SRT will first strengthen management by indicating the phrase “pre-reservation” on reservation tickets.
