Incheon Jung-gu Cultural Foundation was selected as an excellent example of local cultural promotion policy in 2024 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and received a commendation from the Minister. This award was given in recognition of its contribution to expanding opportunities for the public to enjoy culture and arts.
Incheon Jung-gu Cultural Foundation operated the ‘Culture Delivery to Every Corner’ program in the Incheon Port Cultural District from May to November this year, on ‘Culture Day’ every month. Various programs such as performances, exhibitions, experiences, and education were planned to reflect historical and cultural values, and received great responses from the public.
With these efforts, the foundation was able to receive the Director’s Award from the Regional Cultural Promotion Agency in three categories: ▲Future-leading excellent performing organization, ▲Future-leading excellent dedicated personnel, and ▲Cultural District Representative Excellent Program (‘Hello Port of Entry’).

A foundation official said, “We were able to receive this Minister’s Award thanks to the enthusiastic support of local residents and the public,” and added, “We will continue to expand opportunities to enjoy culture and the arts by taking advantage of the unique characteristics of Incheon Port.”
