Anseong City signed an agreement for the operation of new participating bookstores in the 2025 “Local Bookstore Direct Loan System” at the Central Library on December 24. Through this agreement, a total of six local bookstores will provide citizens with faster and more convenient book loan services.
The “Local Bookstore Direct Loan System” is a system that allows books that are not available at the library to be borrowed and returned directly from a partner bookstore, shortening the book provision period from the previous 3 weeks to 3-5 days, thereby increasing convenience for citizens.

The newly participating bookstore, ‘Five Senses’, is expected to be used as a space for creating cultural activities in the local community.
An Anseong City official said, “We hope that this will be an opportunity for local bookstores and libraries to coexist and spread reading culture among citizens.”
