Suji-gu, Yongin Special City, announced that it has produced a ‘Childcare Support Scheduler’ to reduce the administrative burden arising from childcare facilities and to enable systematic application and settlement of various childcare support projects, and that it will be distributed starting in January 2025.
The childcare support scheduler provides a table that organizes the application and settlement schedule, submission date, submission method, and major changes for the childcare support project that is carried out each month. Through this, childcare institutions can accurately understand various support projects and proceed with application and settlement according to the schedule.
Suji-gu has many types of childcare support projects, and each project has a different schedule, so this scheduler was created to solve the problem of frequent application omissions and errors. A district official explained the purpose of creating the scheduler, saying, “This is a practical measure to improve the frequent occurrence of complaints due to application omissions and settlement errors for each project.”
The scheduler is distributed monthly through open chat rooms and integrated childcare information systems at childcare facilities. Childcare facilities can use this data to more efficiently carry out all procedures related to support projects.
A former official said, “Because there are many childcare support projects and the schedules are complicated, the workload on childcare teachers has been great,” and added, “We expect that by creating this scheduler, we will be able to systematize administrative work and efficiently support childcare sites.” He added, “We hope that childcare sites will actively utilize it, and we will continue to work to reduce the burden on teachers and provide a better childcare environment for children.”
