Goyang City, Recruiting Participants for Local Community Job Creation Project in the First Half of 2025

Goyang Special City is recruiting participants for the local community job project in the first half of 2025 to stabilize the livelihoods of the vulnerable employment class and develop the local community. The recruitment period is from January 20 to 22, and a total of 33 people will be selected and assigned to 4 projects, including bicycle recycling and children’s pedestrian safety guidance. The project period will be approximately 5 months, from March 4 to July 25.

Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it will recruit participants for the local community job creation project in the first half of 2025. This project is a direct job creation project designed to provide jobs to the vulnerable employment class and contribute to the development of the local community.

The local community job creation project in the first half of this year consists of four projects: ▲bicycle recycling ▲children’s pedestrian safety guidance ▲safety assistants at the All Together Care Center ▲Ramsar Goyang Janghang Wetland management support, and the project period is scheduled to run for approximately five months from March 4 to July 25, 2025.

The target of recruitment is a person with the ability to work who is 19 years of age or older as of the business start date, and is a citizen of Goyang City who is unemployed or has no regular income. The household of the participant must meet the requirements of having an income of 60% or less of the median income and assets of 480 million won or less.

Participants will work 45 hours a day, 2,025 hours a week, and will be paid a basic salary based on the minimum wage in 2025, plus additional expenses. In addition, they will be required to subscribe to the four major social insurances.

Applications for participation will be accepted from January 20th to 22nd at the local administrative welfare center. Application forms and required documents must be submitted when applying. Selected participants will be announced on February 25th.

Through this project, the vulnerable class of employment is expected to have the opportunity to secure livelihood stability through jobs and establish a foundation for self-reliance. It is also expected to contribute to the utilization of local resources and community activation.

Wang Yeon-woo, head of the Goyang City Employment Policy Division, said, “The local community employment project is an important project that provides stable jobs and a livelihood foundation to vulnerable employment groups such as low-income families, helping them become self-reliant,” and added, “We will continue to take the lead in improving the quality of life of citizens through various quality job projects.”

Meanwhile, the local community job creation project aims to support the livelihood stability of the employment vulnerable class while creating public benefits by utilizing idle resources in the local community. Through this, Goyang City is making efforts to build a sustainable local community.
